Friday night, PROM night for my daughter became an EVENT that will never be forgotten, and not just by her parents or for Erin, but for many who attended. It was the fabled story of the Ugly Duckling transforming into the loveliest swan. She's always been a swan-in-making to me, but now SHE knows it and showed it to all, and it took more courage than I ever had at 17, and she carried it off with grace, elegance, and was every inch the lady. I'm not prone to tears, but that 29 second video below, makes me cry every time I watch it. I'm just so grateful to have it.
